Our latest meeting was held in the Provisioners café/bar area at the Dixon Hotel. Over 20 residents and local businesses joined us and we welcomed guest speakers from Southwark Council Highways Team (talking about St Saviours Dock footbridge); the founders of Legare (the new restaurant opening on Shad Thames in the autumn); and the planning director from The Dixon Hotel.
We had a lot to cover since we last met for our AGM on 4 June. Updates included a financial report; Smart Freight project to reduce commercial traffic; Shad Thames Pumping Station; current planning applications; streets improvement project; ex-Design Museum site; and Shad Thames Business Network. We also had an update from STRA (Shad Thames Residents’ Association) and Butler’s Wharf Riverside Trust – we work closely with both these organisations on matters of shared concern.
